Mizan مِيزَان
About

The scale, held in your hands.

Mizan (مِيزَان) is the Arabic word for the scale. In Islam it names something specific: the balance on which deeds are weighed. The Quran returns to this image again and again — that nothing done is lost, that the smallest good and the smallest wrong each carry weight, and that one day the weighing is done for us.

Mizan the app begins from a gentler thought found in the tradition: hold yourself to account before you are held to account. Not as a threat — as a kindness. A person who meets their own day honestly, every night, is never ambushed by it.

So the app gives you a nightly scale of your own. You review the day as it actually was — the prayers and how present you were in them, the good you did, the slips you'd rather not name. You watch it weighed. You seal it with tawbah, and you set three intentions for tomorrow. Then the day is closed, not carried.

Mizan exists not to judge you — it has no standing to. It exists to keep you company in a practice that is old, quiet, and difficult to do alone.
